We've been promoting sick days since 1980 – it's our 40th birthday this year!

A lot has changed up here since the 1980s; the rules, the outfits, the music... the way we get up the mountain, and the way we ski down it. But the '80s never totally left us at Cardrona. We're still pushing boundaries, we're still a bit wacky, and we still don't take ourselves too seriously.

And you've been there through it all. Through all the hard lessons and the highlights – you've helped make us, us.
So 2020 isn't just a celebration of Cardrona – it's also a celebration of you. And we're gonna party like it's 1989!

A NEW LOOK

2020 is a limited edition, so we're switching up our logo, our photos and our vibe. It's a total nod to the 80s and 90s, while we celebrate how far we've come. It's gonna be tight. It's gonna be bright. There's gonna be one heck of a lot of blue sky. It's a mood, but it's not moody. We're having a LOT of fun this year!

And the logo? You might recognise it – it's a bit like our new one, and a bit like the one from the '90s/early '00s:

A VIDEO SERIES

Over the next couple of months, we're releasing a series of videos that celebrate what the last 40 years have meant to us and you. We've got some hilarious interviews, some amazing footage from back in the day, and some pretty heart-warming moments. Get ready to feel all of the feels – there are four videos in total and we can't wait for you to see them!

On another note, make sure you get this year's Heart of Gold magazine – it'll be out from Easter 2020 and we're pretty excited about this one...

A BIG PARTY

We can't turn the big 4-0 and not have a party! Watch this space... we'll be announcing our 40th celebration weekend early this year and everyone is welcome. There's going to be a few events throughout the weekend for the whole family so get ready by digging out all your best retro ski gear, and maybe even a ball dress or tuxedo...

A CHANCE (OR TWO) TO WIN STUFF!

We want you to join in on the 40th celebrations, no matter where you are in the world. This is your warning – start hunting down all your old Cardrona photos, cos you're gonna need them reeeeally soon!!

A BIRTHDAY PRESENT

Don't forget – we got our 40th birthday present early, and this year anyone with an Unlimited season pass or a multi-day ski pass can ride at both Cardrona and Treble Cone! We're so excited to welcome TC to the family and keep the party going over there.

It's going to be a massive year for us, and we can't wait to share it with all of you who've made Cardrona what it is today. Whether it's your first time here in 2020, or you've been skiing or snowboarding here for the last 40 years, this year is about thanking you and celebrating it all with you.
