Pro snowboarder Christy Prior is one of the smoothest riders out there... this is her Cardrona!

We all wish we had Christy's style, so we had a chat with her to find out where she loves to ride, what she does in her down time, her tips for Cardrona first timers & more!

Christy Prior is a snowboarder's snowboarder, with impeccable style & a massive smile on her face every time she rides. She started riding when she was 17 & has risen through the competitive ranks ever since. She has two X Games medals, one in Slopestyle & one in Big Air, took out top honours at the Burton European Open in 2015, & was the Snow Sports NZ Snowboarder of the Year four times out of the last five years.

WHAT’S YOUR TOP CARDRONA TIP FOR SOMEONE WHO’S NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE?

CP: Dress warmer than the temperature forecast – you can always take layers off! Keeping your body warm uses less energy so you can spend more on riding!

WHAT’RE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST THIS SEASON?

CP: I’ve got a lot of time scheduled for riding my home resort this winter instead of traveling as much, such a novelty!
