Are you coming up to the mountain with your friends or family and not planning on skiing? Here are our top 5 non-ski activities to do on the mountain at Cardrona!

GONDOLA RIDE

Our favourite thing to do on the mountain if we're not skiing or snowboarding is to take a gondola ride to the top of the mountain on the McDougall's Chondola! When you get to the top, you can get off the gondola and explore the top of the mountain – head up to the lookout just above the lift, grab the perfect selfie with the Southern Alps as your background, and visit the Vista Bar for a naughty hot chocolate or bottle of bubbles.

FOOD AND DRINK

With 8 dining options up at Cardrona, there's something for every single taste bud on the mountain. If you're not skiing, the best options for you are around the Base area, with Mezz and Noodle bar in great upstairs locations with an amazing view of the slopes. Noodle Bar offers Asian-style cuisine (we're BIG fans of the Pad Thai), and Mezz is our table-service, à la carte restaurant above Base Café. The Lounge is a great option for a cheeky slope-side refreshment too!!

Head to Noodle Bar...
or the Lounge!

STARGAZING

Want to experience the mountain by night? We run awe-inspiring Stargazing tours every night in both our winter and our summer seasons! We even offer transport from Wanaka and a 3-course dinner in Mezz with our tour, transport and dinner package!

BEAUTY BUS

Treat yourself... right here on the mountain! The Silver Sixpence Beauty Bus lives next to the Ticket Office and offers all the beauty therapy services – mani/pedis, massages, facials, waxing and more. While your mates expend their energy on the slopes, book in some "you" time and relax... if you need any more convincing check out this video:

TUBING IN SPRING

In spring we offer a whole different way to slide down the mountain – if skiing and snowboarding isn't your thing (or you'd just like a break), go tubing!! The course sits next to our Beginners' Area, and is a whooole lot of fun! Check out more info on Tubing at Cardrona here...
