We woke up today to 10cm of fresh snow and (fingers crossed) there's more on the way next week!

What a great day to see out the week - we've had 10cm of new snow and a gorgeous sunny Friday. School skiing started this week (apart from Wānaka Primary, we'll see you all next week!) and it's been great to welcome back local kids and families as part of their school programmes.

Valley View will be back open tomorrow after a short hiatus today, and Willow's has been skiing and riding really well over the last few days. We're loving exploring the terrain over there!

Here's a quick video from today with ski instructor Mima to show you what you slept on if you weren't here:

WEATHER FORECAST

SnowsBest.com are picking a slightly scrappier weekend, with a small amount of snow tomorrow (Saturday), some snow showers on Sunday, ahead of what could be a bigger snowfall on Monday. Keep those fingers crossed!!

Keep an eye on the Snow Report for the most up-to-date information on what is open over the next couple of days.

TREBLE CONE

Treble Cone received 10-15cm of snow above 15cm last night, and the Saddle and Summit were skiing really well today! Like Cardrona, the weekend ahead is looking like we could see a couple of snow showers, so keep an eye on TC's social channels to find out what the weather and conditions are doing.

EVENTS

The TC Mini Mountain and the TC Banked Slalom are on this weekend! They're two of our favourite events over at TC and we can't wait to see how they go down.

Here at Cardrona we're heading into a couple of days of high-level ski racing, with the Wānaka Tech Series from Monday to Wednesday.

TERRAIN PARKS

We want to see your Battle of the Bubble video edits featuring the rails at the very top of Stag Lane! There's $20,000 in prizes and cash to be won, so it's going to be an awesome one to get involved with.

Both us and Thredbo are taking part - the two resorts are also facing off against each other with our features and an overall video edit.

Check out all the information about the Battle of the Bubble here.

The lads have almost got all of the Big Bucks jumps up and running - there's just the last jump to go now! They've changed up the features in Lil' Bucks and Stag Lane too, so there's heaps to challenge yourself on.

THE DESCENT CHALLENGE

It's not too late to sign up for this month's Descent Challenge with the Himalayan Trust!

Tackle the Descent Challenge this August and ski down the height of Mt Cook, Mt Everest, The Triple Crown, or The Seven Summits. Put your turns to good use by raising funds for the Himalayan Trusts' education projects in the Everest region of Nepal. Sign up now!
