We've had an absolute blast these July school holidays - thanks for spending time with us!
Both mountains have had some of our biggest days this week, and we want to thank you for choosing to ski/board with us, and your patience over our busiest period of the year. We also want to send all our love to our Aussie mates - we're thinking of you all and we hope we can be together again safely soon.
Now we're on the other side of the July school holidays, so if you've got a Saver season pass or Earlybird multi-day pass, your blackout period is over and you can use your pass from tomorrow (Saturday, July 24).
We're getting really close to being able to open Willow's - prep-work is underway and another possible top-up of snow on Sunday night/Monday should help here. Watch this space - we'll let you know about its opening as soon as we do!
SnowsBest.com are calling a great day in the sun tomorrow, before the next storm cycle comes through on Sunday night and Monday. The middle of next week looks like prime conditions for skiing and snowboarding!
TC is looking great after this week's mini snow storm! The snow in the Saddle is skiing and snowboarding really well, and we're seeing some amazing riding coming out of TC on social media this week.
The Treble Cone team had a very important message to send this week, and we'd like to reiterate it by sharing their Instagram post below:
Our first major event of the season is tomorrow! The Base Park Attack Slopestyle is part of the SSNZ Slopestyle Series and is for the next generation of freestyle skiers and snowboarders to show off their skills on our terrain park features.
On Sunday the Wanaka Snowsports Club is holding their free "Race Your Mate" session on All Nations from 11am, come join in the fun!
Two jumps in Antlers Alley opened today, giving us three jumps total and plenty of air time! The lads have been hard at work moving McPark 3.0 over to our rails' usual home in Stag Lane, which is now finished top to bottom with a great course ahead of Park Attack tomorrow.
Here's some gorgeous shots of Tiarn Collins and Cool Wakushima on Jump Zero in Big Bucks today, taken by Troy Tanner:
Competition time! We want to see your landfill-free lunches, or your efforts using our recycling/composting centres in the cafés. Share your photos or videos to your story and tag us @cardronanz and you'll go into the draw to win a $50 Mezz voucher! We've got one to give away every day until the end of July.
