With a decent dump of snow and more on the way, a film launch, and Opening Day tomorrow, it's been a fun week for our team!
Well, what a 48 hours it's been! Last night we debuted our short documentary, All In, online and in Wānaka. We want to say a massive thanks to everyone who came out to support the film. You can also find out more about All In and our commitment here.

Tomorrow is our Opening Day, and we can't wait to get out for a slide! We're still in the middle of this storm cycle with more snow on the way, so this weekend we will be opening the Beginners' Area only. We're aiming to open McDougall's after the storm passes, later next week, and we'll keep you updated here and on social media for when those First Chair t-shirts will be up for grabs. In the meantime, this weekend:
This weekend the weather is looking pretty stormy, so join our Facebook Snow Reports Group or load up the website Snow Report from 6.30am daily. Chuck your chains in the boot and dress up warm if you're coming up!
The forecast for the next three days from Opensnow.com looks like this:
Here's a message from our Treble Cone Mountain Manager, Ewan Mackie:
"After three years of less than ideal starts, this storm is going to set us up beautifully for Opening Day at TC this year. We'll be opening with a hiss and a roar... a total feast of skiing. Our team is arriving in a week to start their training and we're all thrilled to get stuck in for the best possible start to Winter 2022!"
The first event of the season is the Cardrona Mountain Bikes on Snow presented by Torpedo7 - find out more here.
The Cardrona Parks Crew are putting in a couple of features for all you jibbers, with McPark 4.0 on the way soon.
We can't wait to see you all this weekend for the first turns of 2022... get into it!
