Packed with all the things we love, this week's full of Conservation awareness, Winter Games NZ, and Winter Pride.

We're feeling a whole lotta' love this week. It's packed to the brim with a lot of things we care about the most. We've continued our celebration of our rainbow community during Winter Pride, with onesie days, boogies and all-around great vibes. The final event is tomorrow: the ski pride parade.

Cardrona Parks is feeling the love, as Winter Games NZ hits them over this weekend. It's been awesome watching international ski and snowboarding teams training in the superpipe!

The cherry on top is that September 5 - 11 is Conservation Week. It gives us a great excuse to talk about all things conservation and thank all of you who have joined us on our ongoing journey of battling waste. Over the years, we've asked you to support us in helping us change the way we operate. We reckon that all these small efforts we make will lead to a great big movement.

If you're heading up the mountain soon, don't forget that if you've purchased tickets and passes online, you can pick them up from one of our ticketing kiosks. They're super user-friendly, only require your purchase confirmation, and look like this:

The entries for Burton and Go Pro's Battle of the Bubble closed yesterday. There's a finalist shortlist that you can have your say on, and choose the People's Choice Edit winner. Watch and vote for your favourite edit by clicking here.

Looking for retail? Head online to shop for Cardrona merch and more, or check out their new pop-up shop at Guest Services.

WEATHER FORECAST

Colder temps and strong winds are forecasted for this weekend. Dress for the conditions if you're heading up here over the next couple of days, either spectating or participating, and look out for any updates from the snow report team. snow-forecast.com is calling for it to chill out by Monday, with the following week looking cold but calm.

Join our Facebook Snow Reports Group or load up the website Snow Report from 6.30 am daily to see what conditions are doing each day.

TREBLE CONE

It looked like heaps of fun was had by all at TC's first pride event Boogie in the Bumps, and Sunday saw the first ever T-Ski Gnarlom:

The snow looks like it'll come through this weekend as the temps drop giving us a nice wee top-up, fingers crossed hardening their snowpack and making it a little more stable. Watch out for some chilly days next week: there are some highs of -5 out there, so dress with plenty of warm layers!

EVENTS

The Winter Games NZ kicked off last week, and we're stoked to be hosting this weekend's events up our maunga. We've got Freeski and Snowboard programmes going on, which are broken down into halfpipe qualifiers and finals, and slopestyle qualifiers and finals. Believe us when we say it's an exciting and adrenaline-pumping watch as a spectator, seeing top athletes and next-generation skiers and boarders hoping to bag themselves a hot spot for the Northern Hemisphere's World Cup.

Find a breakdown of the events here.

TERRAIN PARKS

With the Winter Games NZ brought to our parks, the crew have had a massive week building the slopestyle course and maintaining the superpipe while some of the world's best do their thing.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

This is your weekly reminder that our food and beverage outlets could look quite different this year, but the food will still be delicious, we promise! From one day to the next, there may be different offerings in each outlet (depending on staffing levels, isolation requirements etc.), so your patience and understanding is really appreciated by us and our team.

The legends at Roti Bros are still up the mountain - they sell curry-themed roti pie deliciousness. You'll find them downstairs from Snow Sports HQ on the patio outside Base Café. Want a space to eat your own lunch? On busy days you can head to the Noodle Bar, which is open as a warm and dry space for you to do so. Please remember our landfill-free policy and think about the packaging your food comes in, and take any waste you have home with you.
